Thanksgiving Square

I had been wanting to do a downtown shoot since I had ventured into these blogs. Something sleek. It wasn't until the day of that I kind of changed the look I was going for with model Amanda Dobbs.

I felt like going with a slicked back look with Amanda's length would be a waste. So I went with the smallest curling iron attachment that I had and did as many sections as possible to get a fuller 's' wave.

For her face I primed her with smashbox primer. And used as many illuminating products as possible to really pick up on the light.  then I used my favorite lipstick by ave da called 'passion flower'. It's perfect for fall. And if it's not five years old like mine it probably has a more minty feel on your lips. 😐

We rode over to downtown to check out thanksgiving square which unbeknownst to me has an underground network for pedestrians. Or Wikipedia is lying to me. Also we didn't actually investigate this becauseeee I just now read about it. Just now. In preparation for this blog.

I had mostly envisioned the waterfall as a great backdrop for the shoot but the whole thing work really well. Amanda even chose an awesome outfit for the look with only a vague guide from me. "Wear something black.", I said.

It was a fun day though. I miss when I was younger and rode the bus and train often. Downtown is really beautiful, the older architecture has great detail. If you really have a great imagination you can pretend you're in a bigger city than dallas.
