Knox Street

Knox & Travis

I know a lot of people that write off the west side of 75 for being too hoity toity. And believe me it is. But it's nice. It's well maintained. It looks like how you'd imagined normal families lived . Just like that.

when I was younger I always worked over here and I loved it. I felt better for it. On the other end of things, I wasn't treated well or with respect by some but not all people. It's a give and take ya know.  But I loved walking around on my lunch breaks. Walking into cute little shops. Staring at $100 shirt price tags trying to play it straight that I wasn't vomiting into my mouth and swallowing it.

What brought me back over there today was a Pilates class at bodybar. It's by far my favorite Pilates studio in dallas. The workouts aren't so hard that you can't even attempt them. My core and arms are like jello as I type this but it was bearable. Just prepare yourself for a rough time and it'll pleasantly surprise you.

After my class I walked over to lululemon to pretend I have money. You can't walk into a boutique studio here in dallas without every person wearing something lululemon. Mines usually a headband just to show my street cred. And it's less than $20. Right now though they had the most outrageously amazing items for winter. I was ready to put all my cash down but... slowly backed away. Not today.

But since I have a blog now, I think this is where fans of me buy me things. So in case that's how it works please buy me this all city sweater. I could look so rich in this. Like it wouldn't be safe for me to walk on Katy trail at night. That's how rich I'll look.

It really is such a beautiful part of dallas. Don't let the price tags fool you. Park off Travis and walk down to Katy trail where it's lined with trees. Or wake up Knox and enjoy a stroll underneath the twinkle lights. Take in the old brick buildings that have been renovated into what is now Knox.
